2 Peter 1: 4

1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

God Behind All His Promises—

Promises are estimated by the truth of the one who makes them. Many men make promises only to break them, to mock the heart that trusted in them. Those who lean upon such men lean upon broken reeds. But God is behind the promises He makes. He is ever mindful of His covenant, and His truth endureth to all generations (Manuscript 23, 1899). {7BC 942.12}

God’s promises are sure and these you can live by. God gave His only begotten Son as collateral, as our surety and substitute. These promises will endure to all generations, from everlasting to everlasting to those who believe on Him. We all have a choice, follow God and be partakers of His divine nature, or follow Satan to perdition. God’s promises are conditional on obedience to His Word in the Holy Bible. There are many examples before us of those who received blessings or cursing. God is a just God and will not waiver on His promises to the saints. God is calling you to be a partaker of His divine nature.

Our Father,

We thank You for all Your wonderful promises to us in Your Holy Word, the Bible. We are sinners with a propensity to sin. However, if we follow in Your Word, we can receive and claim the victory Christ Jesus won for us on the cross at Calvary. We are sorry, and repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness and that You wash us clean by the blood of Christ. We pray that we can be partakers of the divine nature and that we are worthy of having our names written in Your Book of Life. Save us from the corruption in this world that we may be among the saints lifted up to heaven on Your great day to come. We thank You and praise You, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
