Jesus is Our Healer

Exodus 15:26

15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do

that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes,

I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am]

the LORD that healeth thee.

The Desire of Ages, 824, 1898 -

Christ had been the guide and teacher of ancient Israel, and He taught them that health is the

reward of obedience to the laws of God. The great Physician who healed the sick in Palestine

had spoken to His people from the pillar of cloud, telling them what they must do, and what

God would do for them. Christ gave to Israel definite instruction in regard to their habits of life,

and He assured them, “The Lord will take away from thee all sickness.” When they fulfilled the

conditions, the promise was verified to them. “There was not one feeble person among their

tribes.” {CD 121.1}

These lessons are for us. There are conditions to be observed by all who would preserve health.

All should learn what these conditions are. The Lord is not pleased with ignorance in regard to

His laws, either natural or spiritual. We are to be workers together with God for the restoration

of health to the body as well as to the soul. {CD 121.2}

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if you hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them,

that the LORD your God shall keep unto you the covenant and the mercy which He swore unto

your fathers: And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will put none of the evil

diseases of Egypt, which you know, upon you; but will lay them upon all them that hate you.

The LORD will smite you with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and

with the itch, whereof you cannot be healed. Moreover, He will bring upon you all the diseases

of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave unto you. And you shall serve the

LORD your God, and He shall bless your bread, and your water; and will take sickness away

from the midst of you. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: you will

make all his bed in his sickness. I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have

sinned against You. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all

your iniquities; who heals all your diseases. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their

wounds.

We are so blessed that God has given to us all the health principles we will ever need to be free

from illness and disease. The bodies we dwell in are not ours but of God. We need to take care

and preserve our God given temples. If we do, God will fulfill His promise of healing to us,

provided we are obedient to His health laws. Do not make the same mistake the Egyptians

made. Hearken unto the voice of God and do that which is right in His sight and the Lord will

take away from you all sickness. Let Christ Jesus be your guide, teacher, and healer.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

We humbly come into Your presence in thanksgiving, praise, and prayer. We thank You for

watching over us, protecting us, and keeping us safe. We thank You for being our great

Physician, our Master Healer. Thank You for giving us all Your health principles we will ever

need to be free from illness and disease. We pray You heal us spiritually, mentally, and

physically. We pray You heal our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies. We pray You heal us of all

sicknesses, illnesses, diseases, ailments, infirmities and all our aches and pains. We pray You

continually heal us, and we thank You for healing us every day. We pray You keep us from

coming down with any sickness, illness, or diseases that are rampant in this polluted world. We

pray You bless our bread and water; and take sickness away from our midst. We pray for Your

healing, not as man heals, but as only You can heal. We pray that You touch us with Your

healing hand. We pray You restore us, revive us, keep us healthy, and make us whole. We pray

for Your continued blessings and mercies. We pray You grant us Your strength and courage to

keep all Your statutes. To hearken unto Your voice and continue to be workers with You for the

restoration of health to our bodies as well as our minds and souls. You are the Lord that heals.

We are sorry and humbly repent of all our sins. We pray You forgive us of all our sins, the

known and the unknown. LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against

You. Please heal our broken hearts and bind up our wounds. We pray to receive Your character

and live a life that is favorable and well pleasing in Your sight. We thank You for hearing and

answering our prayers, and if there is anything we fail to ask, we pray Lord Jesus You pray to

the Father for us, that You make a sweet utterance on our behalf. We thank You and praise

You, in the name of Christ Jesus, we pray. Amen.
