Call to Worship

Psalms 66:16

66:16 Come [and] hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Praise God More—Would it not be well to cultivate gratitude, and to offer grateful songs of thanksgiving to God? As Christians we ought to praise God more than we do. We ought to bring more of the brightness of His love into our lives. As by faith we look to Jesus His joy and peace are reflected from the countenances. How earnestly we should seek so to relate ourselves to God that our faces may reflect the sunshine of His love! When our own souls are vivified by the Holy Spirit, we shall exert an uplifting influence upon others who know not the joy of Christ’s presence. {3BC 1148.2}

God has been so good to us. Praise the Lord for what He has done. He has taken us, sinners, into His fold, forgiven us of our iniquities, and shown us all of His marvelous love. What a mighty God we serve. Enough can’t be said of His love and His mercy for all His children. It is up to us to go to the mountain top and proclaim His love and His promises to the whole world. If you confess His name, He will confess your name to the Father. If it wasn’t so, He would not say so. Place all of your faith and trust in Jesus and let the whole world know what He has done for your soul.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

We come to the foot of Your throne in thanksgiving, prayer, and praise. We thank You for being so good to us. For watching over us, protecting us, and keeping us safe. For answering our prayers and giving us the victory over sin. You are our mighty God and there is none other. We pray that You continue to be with us and speak to us. Let us hear and understand what You say to us. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us, anoint our heads with oil, and may our cup runneth over. Let us receive Your joy and peace and may we share it with others. We are sorry and repent of our sins and ask for the forgiveness of our sins. All this we ask, we pray, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen
