Recent release, "The Perfect Mold: Reflecting Jesus, Not Idolizing Man" by Dr. Christopher Sernaqué & Casey Sernaqué teaches the theology & psychology of the Golden Rule.

Dr. Christopher and Casey Sernaqué coauthored "The Perfect Mold: Reflecting Jesus, Not Idolizing Man", which is a book that teaches readers how to fulfill the Golden Rule. Biblical guidance and psychological science are combined in “The Perfect Mold” to help readers love God, love themselves, and love others.

The first draft was about as far from perfection as one could get. As a matter of fact, the first draft was terrible. Really bad. One could say unreadable, what with the chicken scratch and all. 'Twas the scribblings of one mad, and yet they kept writing. Draft after draft. Drafts galore! Eventually, they produced something that was not so terrible. About 7 or 8 drafts in, the duo had written a manuscript that they felt was at least worth their reader's consideration. But they wanted more; something that would actually help readers spiritually.

Dr. Christopher Sernaqué holds doctorates in Educational Psychology and Christian Education, bringing rigorous academic training to the study of human behavior and spiritual growth. Casey Sernaqué earned his master's degree in Writing for Performance and the Entertainment Industry, contributing both literary craftsmanship and creative expertise to the collaboration. Together, they operate Christ Jesus Ministries LLC, producing PsyShorts and Christian resources like “The Perfect Mold” book.

The authors were writing about the dangers of the heresy of sinless perfectionism, all the while trying to perfect their book. Poetic irony aside, they both recognized that theology was a matter to be taken seriously, and they did their best to produce the final manuscript of "The Perfect Mold: Reflecting Jesus, Not Idolizing Man." Indeed, this book was a labor of love, and it is all about love. Namely, how to love God, love others, and how to love yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39, Mark 12:30-31, Luke 10:27)

The book is divided into three sections with chapters designed to help the reader reflect on aspects of those three manifestations of love. For instance, did you know that to love God is to accept the assurance that He loves you? Or, what about how grief, far from being evidence of weakness or sin, is actually a reflection of the heart of Christ Jesus?

Moreover, divine providence does not negate the existence of human autonomy, nor does human autonomy negate the existence of divine providence. God's cosmic plan for the universe and the desires of your heart can coexist together. But how?

What's more perplexing is that loving others often starts by finding the antidote to the hatred within your own heart. Yet, how exactly is one supposed to learn to stand up for themselves so resentment does not build up in them like a ticking bomb?

Each of these questions has to do with how we love God, how we love other people, and how we love ourselves. The Golden Rule tells us to love, but perhaps you might be interested in a guide on how to do just that. Written not as a systematic theology, but as a self-help religious guide, “The Perfect Mold” aims to be the most helpful guide to living the Golden Rule through psychological and scriptural insight.

You probably have some theological questions that keep you up at night. God would obviously be the best person to ask, but this book just might point you to the answers in His Word that you've been looking for.

Readers who wish to experience what this text has to offer can purchase "The Perfect Mold" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
