Pray in All Circumstances—In your business, in companionship for leisure hours, and in alliance for life, let all the associations you form be entered upon with earnest, humble prayer. You will thus show that you honor God, and God will honor you. Pray when you are fainthearted. When you are desponding, close the lips firmly to men; do not shadow the path of others; but tell everything to Jesus. Reach up your hands for help. In your weakness lay hold of infinite strength. Ask for humility, wisdom, courage, increase of faith, that you may see light in God’s light and rejoice in His love.—(The Ministry of Healing, 513.) {Pr 32.4}
Christ Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. God is always the answer in time of need. Yet so many in this world do not turn to God when they become fainthearted. The world turns to therapists, drugs, alcohol, and even to their “friends.” Instead of going to the phone to call your friends, go to the throne in prayer to Christ Jesus. Your best friend will always be there for you, that is Jesus. Christ is our lifeline to heaven through prayer. In all circumstances, go to God first in earnest, humble prayer. Receive power from on high and receive the peace and joy only Christ can give. God will honor those who honor Him.
Our Father, which art in heaven,
We come humbly to the foot of Your throne in thanksgiving and prayer. We thank You for the gift and privilege of prayer. We are so blessed by Your friendship and for always being there for us in our time of need. We thank You for providing a lifeline to heaven, whereby we can enter into Your presence and receive Your power from on high. As we go about our day, we can pray without ceasing and tell You about everything in our hearts, minds, and souls. We thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. We pray that we may also hear Your voice. That we may hear and understand Your message to us. That You lead us and guide us and keep us on the path that leads to Your heavenly kingdom. Keep us from falling to the left or to the right, rather keep us on the safe, narrow path. Grant us Your wisdom, understanding, and discernment, that we may do what is right, favorable, and well pleasing in Your sight. May we honor and glorify Your name, and let not our will, but let Thy will be done. Let our humble prayers show that we honor You. Help us to be effective witnesses on Your behalf, so others will learn of You and all of Your wonderful promises to humankind. To let others know You are the answer they are looking for. That You will always be there for them in all circumstances to hear and answer their earnest and humble prayers. That in all their weakness, they can lay hold of Your infinite strength. That You will not let go of them, even to the end of time. Help us all to walk in Your light and rejoice in Your love. We love You Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
